CMSA Workshops

The Chedoke McMaster Stroke Assessment (CMSA) is a standardized, evidence-based tool used to evaluate physical impairments and functional abilities in individuals recovering from stroke. It is composed of two main inventories: an Impairment Inventory, which classifies a person’s motor recovery in the arm, hand, leg, foot, and trunk, and an Activity Inventory, which measures functional tasks such as bed mobility, transfers, walking, and stair management. Clinicians and researchers worldwide use the CMSA to guide rehabilitation interventions, track patient progress, and assess the effectiveness of various treatment strategies, making it a cornerstone in stroke care and research settings.
